‘America’s Got Talent’ Performer Has Lost 50 Pounds Since First Show Performance

Sal Valentinetti made quite an impression on the America’s Got Talent judges the first time around, and when he returned Tuesday night, there was less of Sal for the judges to love — about 50 pounds less.

On how he lost the weight, Valentinetti said, “I haven’t eaten a cannoli, a bowl of pasta, or a slice of pizza in four months. Nobody wants this more than me.”

Avoiding those particular foods may have been difficult for Valentinetti, considering that he works at his cousin’s pizza shop, but his dream is to someday have his own show, and he is determined to make that happen.

Valentinetti may have shown up for his recent performance quite a bit slimmer, but he held onto that big voice and the sense of humor that helped get him this far. He came out and sang a jazz rendition of the One Direction hit “Story of My Life.”
