American Idol’s Top 24 Revealed in Dramatic ‘Final Judgment’ — Did Your Favorites Make the Cut?

After hundreds of performances, a handful of sing-offs and even a couple of classic fake-outs, American Idol has finally revealed which singers have made it to the Top 24 of Season 22.

More from TVLine

Honestly, it feels like only yesterday we still had more than 100 singers left in this competition. Oh, right, we did! Monday’s brutal Final Judgment rulings came just 24 hours after what was dubbed “the biggest cut in Idol history” on Sunday. Needless to say, it’s been a wild weekend.

Before we get to the Top 24, though, let’s highlight a few of this week’s notable eliminations. There weren’t any terribly shocking cuts (no offense), but we were a little surprised to see the judges part ways with Alyssa Raghu. Even Katy Perry noted that “the sauce may be seasoned correctly” after her funky (in a good way!) performance of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.” Then again, we also didn’t expect Kaibrienne “KB” Richins to blow us away during their sing-off to Lady Gaga’s “Shallow,” but she did, ending Alyssa’s Idol journey in the process.

The episode also ended with a farewell to an international cotton candy-haired pop sensation — the one and only Ziggy. Despite impressing the judges with an inspirational performance of “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, they forced him into a sing-off against Mackenzie Sol. It did not end well for him.

Additional eliminated contestants, none of whom received as much screen time as they probably deserved, included Justice Murphy, McKayla McCall, Scarlett Lee and Michael Rice.

Read on for a breakdown of the 24 singers left in the competition after the Final Judgment. Once you’ve taken stock of the survivors, drop a comment with your own favorites. For whom are you rooting the hardest?

Jordan Anthony, 18

Jordan Anthony’s smooth vocals on Adele’s “Love in the Dark” earned him the first spot in the Top 24… and left Katy Perry with goosebumps.

Odell Bunton Jr., 28

This Platinum Ticket winner took us on a full journey with an incredible performance of Nina Simone’s “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood,” which he dedicated to his late sister.

Nya, 28

Nya, 28
Nya, 28

We’ve seen some cringey Broadway performers on Idol before… but Nya isn’t one of them. We loved watching her literally kick the crap out of The Temptations’ “Get Ready.” A little choreography never hurt anybody.

Blake Proehl, 24

Blake Proehl, 24
Blake Proehl, 24

Blake Proehl’s take on Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood” wasn’t quite as impressive as his audition, but it still earned him a spot in the Top 24. Even better, his grandma got to deliver the news via FaceTime!

Triston Harper, 15

Triston Harper, 15

Our love for this kid somehow grew even bigger after his authentically country performance of Cody Johnson’s “By Your Grace.” Triston Harper deserves the world.

Roman Collins, 24

Roman Collins, 24

Roman Collins was on the floor by the end of his outrageous take on The Beatles’ “Come Together.” Then again, so was Katy Perry. Honestly, we were all pretty exhausted after watching him completely destroy that performance.

Kaibrienne ‘KB’ Richins, 20

Kaibrienne ‘KB’ Richins, 20

We have to be honest, we didn’t expect KB to hold her own against Alyssa Raghu in a sing-off of Lady Gaga’s “Shallow,” but she really did. Her passion and artistry gave her a significant edge, and we’re excited to see more from her.

Jack Blocker, 25

Jack Blocker, 25
Jack Blocker, 25

The only face Jack Blocker is making right now… is a smile. He crushed his performance in the Showstoppers round, and the same crew members who overturned the judges’ original “no” got to welcome him into the Top 24. We love a full-circle moment.

Mia Matthews, 19

Loretta Lynn’s “You Ain’t Woman Enough” was the perfect song for Mia Matthews, resulting in an impressive performance that showcased her pure country sound.

McKenna Breinholt, 25

McKenna Breinholt, 25
McKenna Breinholt, 25

McKenna Breinholt has a killer voice, of this there is no doubt — which is why the judges sent her through to the Top 24, despite not thinking that Demi Lovato’s “Anyone” was the right song to showcase her vocals.

Emmy Russell, 24

Emmy Russell, 24

Emmy Russell sounded beautiful on Ingrid Andress’ “More Hearts Than Mine,” but the judges are still waiting for her to shake off her more timid impulses.

Will Moseley, 23

Will Moseley, 23
Will Moseley, 23

Will Moseley making it to the Top 24, especially armed with a song like Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine,” was a no-brainer. The only real question is… where in the Top 10 will he land?

Ajii, 27

Ajii, 27
Ajii, 27

We wouldn’t have known that Ajii lost his voice if he didn’t say anything. He killed his performance of Alex Clare’s “Too Close,” quite possibly outdoing the original. If this is Ajii at partial strength, just imagine what he’s capable of. We can’t wait to see.

Kayko, 23

Kayko, 23

This accompanist-turned-contestant only made a brief appearance this week, but we weren’t at all surprised to hear the judges give him good news.

Elleigh Marie, 20

Elleigh Marie was another person we only saw in passing this week, but hey, at least she passed us on her way to the Top 24.

Kennedy Reid, 23

We wish we’d gotten to see more of Kennedy Reid’s experience in this round. She may be a mortician, but she give us life.

KBlocks, 27

KBlocks, 27

Hands down the most original contestant in this competition, KBlocks devoured Bishop Briggs’ “River,” delivering a fierce, fearless performance that was unlike anything we’ve seen thus far.

Abi Carter, 21

Abi Carter, 21

Not even a little bronchitis could stop this Platinum Ticket winner from delivering a stunning take on Cher’s “If I Could Turn Back Time.” In fact, the only bad thing about this performance was the judges’ lame fake-out while delivering the good news: “The dream ends now… because it’s time for the reality… and the reality is that you’re in the Top 24.” We’re glad they showed her some grace, but how about doing the same for us?

Jayna Elise, 22

Jayna Elise, 22
Jayna Elise, 22

First of all, Jayna Elise choosing Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” in honor of this being her second time on Idol? Absolutely brilliant. As for the actual performance, we have no words. Chill-inducing. Powerful. Exciting. OK, maybe we have some words.

Quintavious, 21

Quintavious, 21

Quintavious was another person we didn’t spend too much time with this week, but he obviously crushed it. Well done, Q.

Hailey Mia, 16

Hailey Mia, 16

The judges weren’t totally sold on Hailey Mia until they heard her sing Sia’s “Alive.” It was the big swing they were waiting for, and she knocked it out of the park.

Jennifer Jeffries, 17

Jennifer Jeffries, 17
Jennifer Jeffries, 17

The judges have an undeniable soft spot for this teen songwriter, whom they dubbed “a star in the making” after her performance of Noah Kahan’s “Northern Attitude.” They even compared Jennifer to Alejandro Aranda, calling her this season’s “diamond in the rough.”

Julia Gagnon, 21

Julia Gagnon, 21
Julia Gagnon, 21

And we are… teeeeelllling yoooou… Julia Gagnon’s not goooooing.

Seriously, though, there was so much passion in her performance of this iconic Dreamgirls ballad. Seeing someone harness their undeniable gift like this is inspiring.

Mackenzie Sol, 23

Mackenzie Sol, 23
Mackenzie Sol, 23

The final spot in the Top 24 went to Mackenzie Sol, but it didn’t come easily. The judges weren’t sold after his initial Showstopper performance, forcing him into a sing-off against Ziggy. Not enough pressure for you? The song they sang was one that Mackenzie used to sing with his ex — a song he swore he’d never sing again. For the record, we’re glad he didn’t stick to that promise, because we would have missed this absolutely heartbreaking performance. Any doubts we may have had about Mackenzie’s place in this competition are officially gone.
