The Top 10 performance episode of “American Idol” Season 22 aired on Sunday, April 28 on ABC, with the finalists giving it their all in front of host Ryan Seacrest and judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Viewers all across the nation voted nearly 21 million times throughout the two-hour episode, as guest mentor Shania Twain helped the contestants with their song choices from the years of their birth. In the end, only the Top 8 artists made it to the next round, with Mia Matthews and Kayko both being eliminated.

Throughout the competition, Mia belted out tunes like “No Place That Far” (Auditions round), “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)” (Showstopper round), “Daddy’s Hands” (Top 24 round), “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” (Top 20, Part 1 round), “Burning House” (Top 20, Part 2 round), “Those Memories of You” (Top 14 round), “Over You” (Top 12 round) and “No One Needs to Know” (Top 10 round). The 19-year-old singer from Centre, Alabama originally auditioned on “Idol” with her sister, Jacy Matthews, although Jacy was cut during Hollywood Week.
