Indiana residents who love country won’t want to miss this musical performance.

Hoosier Country Jam,” a country music concert in Bloomington, is welcoming “American Idol” star and Carmel native, Meggie Iyer, to the stage, and tickets are already on sale.

When is 'Hoosier Country Jam?'

“Hoosier Country Jam” is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Monday, April 15. Tickets are currently on sale and available for purchase here. The Hoosier Country Jam Advanced tickets begin at $45 per ticket, and the VIP Early Entry Advanced tickets begin at $60.

“Hoosier Country Jam” will take place at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, located at 114 E Kirkwood Ave in Bloomington.

Who is performing at 'Hoosier Country Jam?'

According to the Hoosier Country Jam website, “This acoustic show will be an intimate, unique experience for all those who love country music in Indiana!”

Performers include Mason Ramsey, Walmart yodeling boy; Michael Ray, with four No. 1 songs on the radio; Jake Hoot, winner of season 17 of “The Voice”; Indiana artists Dylan Schneider, Hank Ruff and Jake Dodds; and Iyer, Indiana University Bloomington freshman and Carmel native.

Who is Meggie Iyer?

Iyer was one of two Indiana women to make an appearance on the season premiere of the 22nd season of “American Idol.”

The 18-year-old singer auditioned with the song “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt, winning the hearts of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

On the show, Iyer was given a golden ticket, guaranteeing her a spot in Hollywood, after a yes from all three of the judges.

The 2023 graduate of Carmel High School is now a full-time student at Indiana University of Bloomington, according to her LinkedIn profile. Iyer is studying finance and accounting at the Kelley School of Business.

She also posted an announcement via LinkedIn about her “American Idol” audition.

Having the opportunity to showcase my talent on such a renowned platform was both exhilarating and humbling.”
