American Idol” had fans buzzing Sunday night when Abi Carter, the episode’s final audition, had judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie declaring the 21-year-old from Indio, California Season 22’s likely winner. Watch Abi’s audition below.

One of seven children, Abi revealed she comes from a religious family. She then sat at the piano and put her own spin on “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish. Her angelic voice and emotional delivery had the judges on the edge of their seats. Following a standing ovation, Lionel said, “We don’t have to vote.” Katy exclaimed, “What were you made for? You were made for this!” Finally Luke commented, “That may be the winner of ‘American Idol.'” One week later as Abi performed in Palm Springs, the judges surprised her by upgrading Abi’s golden ticket to PLATINUM, meaning she’ll skip the first round at Hollywood Week.
