After singing “I Won’t Let Go” by Rascal Flatts, judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie wanted to hear more from the viral sensation. Naturally, production brought in a barber’s chair and in walks Colin with his long, golden locks, ready for a trim. The pair of them sang a duet of “Broken Halos” by Chris Stapleton, and it was all the judges needed to hear.

Lionel told Noah he had a “fantastic” quality to his voice, and Katy just hopes he doesn’t “overthink” his performances. “You’ve got some sweetness to your voice,” she encourages. Ultimately, all three judges decide to send Noah to Hollywood. The 22nd season of “American Idol,” lucky number seven on ABC, airs Sunday nights (8/7c).
