“American Idol” will whittle down its 2024 Top 5 contestants to the Top 3 for Season 22 on Sunday, May 12.
This episode will see the contestants heading to Disney World for “Disney Night.” They will sing fan-favorite Disney classics and be mentored by country singer Kane Brown. Jenifer Lewis will perform her song “Dig a Little Deeper” from the movie “The Princess and the Frog.”
Two contestants will be eliminated ahead of the three-hour finale on Sunday, May 19. This will also be Katy Perry’s last “American Idol” finale: She does not plan to return as a judge for Season 23.

Breinholt sang "E.T." by Katy Perry and “Make You Feel My Love” from Adele while Gagnon went with “Roam” by The B-52’s and Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” Unfortunately, those performances didn’t get them the votes they needed to be a part of the Top 5 for this season.
