‘American Horror Story: Delicate’ Trailer: Kim Kardashian Has a Sinister Secret About Emma Roberts’ Baby

Emma Roberts just wants her happily ever after. Of course, Ryan Murphy — and now also Kim Kardashian — have other plans for her.

The trailer for “American Horror Story: Delicate” finally reveals who the star-studded cast is playing for the latest installment in the FX series, created and executive produced by Murphy. The 12th installment for the anthology series stars Roberts as a celebrity who is expecting her first child with her husband (Matt Czuchry) but is plagued with unsettling dreams. Kardashian portrays her stylist and confidante, and perhaps part of the sinister force following Roberts, as embodied by Cara Delevingne.

“Impeachment: American Crime Story” writer Halley Feiffer serves as showrunner and penned all of the “Delicate” episodes, inspired by Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel “Delicate Condition” about a woman who becomes convinced a sinister figure is forbidding her from getting pregnant. The “body horror” novel is described to be a “Rosemary’s Baby”-inspired thriller.

Author Valentine told Vanity Fair earlier this year that “the ways that we describe pregnancy — delicate condition, bun in the oven, she’s in a family way — is so infantilizing for something that is among the most dangerous, life-changing experiences that a human being can go through.”

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Odessa A’zion, Debra Monk, and Julie White round out the cast. Zachary Quinto is said to have a memorable cameo, and Billie Lourd is also rumored to appear in the series.

FX confirmed that “American Horror Story: Delicate” will debut with five episodes as a Part One, with a Part Two premiering in 2024. Each episode will air on Wednesdays on FX, followed by next-day streaming on Hulu. Murphy, Falchuk, Halley Feiffer, Alexis Martin Woodall, John J. Gray and Scott Robertson serve as executive producers. “American Horror Story”is produced by 20th Television.

Series creator Murphy teased of the “Delicate” as a whole, “Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

Murphy added that Kardashian’s narrative TV debut is must-see television after the reality mogul’s “SNL” hosting gig, saying, “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the ‘AHS’ family. Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture.”
