American German club will once again rock six days of Oktoberfest fun

Whether you're a traditionalist and go for the full 33.8 ounces or like a smaller, slightly more manageable stein, get ready to raise them up: Oktoberfest at the American German Club of the Palm Beaches has arrived.

Dust off those dirndls and lederhosen and take part in a folk festival that is well over 200 years old and has been celebrated at the Lake Worth Beach club for the past 49.

This 49-and-feeling-fine event will feature music, carnival rides, great German and American food, soft drinks and of course plenty of excellent German beer.

This year they will have Paulaner Oktoberfest, Hacker Pschorr Munich Gold, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen, Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen, Paulaner Pilsner, Hacker-Pschorr Munich Dunkel as well as beers from Weihenstephan (a Munich-area brewery that is the oldest in the world) flowing and filling those beer steins.

Raise those steins and celebrate Oktoberfest during the six-day run at the American German Club of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth Beach.

Not a big fan of beer? Try some Berentzen Apple, Peach & Pear Schnapps, Goldschläger, Bärenjäger and more.

To further your journey into Bavarian heaven, there will be plenty of excellent German food available.

Check out schnitzel, goulasch, sausage platters, Thüringer bratwurst, leberkase (Bavarian meatloaf) and pickled herring, along with pretzels baking. In addition, there will also be American fare like hamburgers, chicken fingers, hot dogs, french fries and more.

The good time party band from outside Munich, Heldensteiner Heubodnblosn will perform all six dates of Oktoberfest at the American German Club of the Palm Beaches.

Fueled by great food and drink, the good times are most definitely rolling and will keep on with music by Heldensteiner Heubodnblosn.

Taking their name from Heldenstein, their home community in the southeast Bavaria region outside of Munich, and Heubodnblosn, from the name of their first rehearsal space, which was a hay storage facility, this group has been doing their thing since 1971. During that time they have made the trek across the pond and played Oktoberfest at the AGC on several occasions.

Staying vibrant with a rotating mix of young, young-at-heart, conservative and progressive brass musicians, rock n' rollers, heavy metallers and pop starlets, they will bring the crazy fun.

In addition to performances by Heldensteiner Heubodnblosn, Steven Angel and Monika the Yodel Queen and the BlackThorne Pipe & Drum Band will play and the AGC Volkstanzgruppe will dance.

To add another layer of good times to this event, there will once again be a carnival area featuring new rides for both children and adults.
