American Eagle, Aerie set to open at Midtown Village in Tuscaloosa
American Eagle and Aerie will open in two separate storefronts in Tuscaloosa at Midtown Village next month.
Last year, American Eagle announced in a social media post that the store would be leaving its longtime home in University Mall and relocating to Midtown Village, 1800 McFarland Blvd. E.
The jeans and apparel brand will now join its sister brand, Aerie, at Midtown Village. The two storefronts will be adjacent to Francesca's and Southern Roots Salon.

This will be the second Aerie location in Alabama.
Both brands, owned by American Eagle Outfitters, are set to open in Midtown Village at 9 a.m. July 14.
A grand opening ceremony will also be held that day from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The ceremony will include giveaways, a live DJ, Bloom Flower Truck and more.

“We are thrilled to add two more retailers that cater to the college-age demographic in Tuscaloosa. These brands will deliver on-trend essentials we know our shoppers will enjoy,” said Mary Beyer Lell, head of leasing for Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors, a Birmingham-based full-leasing management company, in a press release.
In addition to Midtown Village, the company manages and leases 32 retail and mixed-use venues in six states.
Midtown Village opened in 2007.
American Eagle focuses on clothing and accessories, while Aerie provides intimates, apparel, activewear and swimwear.
