Season 18 Episode 20 Rankings:

11. Eseniia Mikheeva: This was the most adorable act of the night and Eseniia is a better dancer than most adults. The performance was absolutely memorable and she reminded me of JoJo Siwa in her “Dance Moms” days. On the flip side, I already can tell that she is not going to advance to the finals. When she gets older, she could be unstoppable on a show like “So You Think You Can Dance.”

10. Grace Good: This was a tough one for me as I truly think that she is fearless and loves what she is doing. On the opposite side of the coin, I am not sure if people would go see this show if she were to win. Many of this tricks are similar to some seen in Cirque du Soleil according to many on social media that have seen one of those productions. The dropping of the baton was very noticeable to me as well.

9. Mandy Muden: Mandy is hilarious and she would excel as a comedian as well. The trick was impressive and unique. On the opposite side of the coin, the setup for the trick took too long. Kudos for the constant hitting on Simon though, as it simultaneously had some viewers clutching their pearls and others loving the entire presentation. As much as I enjoyed this, there is no shot at this act advancing to the next round.

8. Eduardo Antonio Trevino: Being the first act of the night must be terrifying, but he showed no signs of nerves whatsoever. Naturally, he chose the song that is my kryptonite for me since I always think of my late dog when I hear it. He was a bit pitchy in the beginning, but once the band kicked in he was golden. Honestly, I do not think that he will advance but he is, as Simon said, “a star in the making.”

7. Ramadhani Brothers: Sometimes an audition is so impressive that my expectations are so high and the follow-up performance does not impress me as much. This is one of those cases. The opening trick of carrying someone by their head blindfolded was incredible, but as a whole this act gave me anxiety. Social media loved this act with many calling them the ones to beat. Honestly, they made a very strong case to advance to the finals but I am starting to wonder if this is something people can sit through for more than a few performances. I absolutely expect to see them in the top five of the night though.

6. Trailer Flowers: In their audition, Trailer Flowers did not impress me whatsoever, so much to my surprise their live performance was solid. This was their best performance so far in the competition and they looked ready for country music stardom up on the AGT stage. When Howie buzzed them with Heidi’s button, I was absolutely shocked. He is absolutely unhinged this season. The other judges were not as impressed either but at least they did not try to hide it.

5. Sangsoon Kim: Never thought I would say this, but I cannot figure out how a magic trick was done this season. Sangsoon Kim has stumped me this time and I could have watched this trick go on and on all day. When he pulled out the skateboard, let’s just say that my jaw was on the floor. Howie, Simon and Sofia were less impressed though. Social media loved it as much as I did so there is a very good chance that he can make the finals. If he does not, I hope he is a wild card contender.

4. Lachuné: After two acts that failed to hit the mark for me, I was very happy to see that this singer reversed that trend. This take on a Tina Turner hit was original and Lachuné sounded great. Vocally, she slayed this performance and gave herself a fighting chance to advance to the finals. Howie was less impressed though.

3. Avantgardey: First and foremost, Avantgardey had the best video package of the season in my opinion. Second, this performance was absolutely captivating. This group has creativity that is off the charts and synchronicity to match. The judges loved the performance, especially Howie, but nobody loved it more than the audience. In short, Avantgardey gave themselves an excellent chance of advancing to the finals.

2. 82nd Airborne Chorus: There is no amount of words to describe how much I love this act and social media really seemed to agree with me. For their second song, they went for a Pink hit and nailed the entire performance from vocals to stage presence. Was the song a big risk like they said it was? Not sure. Saying that, this act is one of my favorites of the season and they stand a very good chance of advancing to the finals. Might I suggest “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson if they do so?

1. Gabriel Henrique: I would be remiss if I did not address something that I saw a lot of on social media as some naysayers were mocking his singing voice in the audition. They are just jealous of his range. With his second performance, Gabriel chose a completely different style of vocal that was equally as impressive and owned that AGT stage like it was the easiest thing in the world. Best performance of the night, and any combination of acts going through to the finals should include him.
