‘America’s Got Talent’: Murmuration is YOUR favorite act from ‘AGT’ Qualifiers 2 [POLL RESULTS]

“America’s Got Talent” continued the live shows of its 18th season on August 29 with the second round of performances in the “Qualifiers.” On Tuesday night’s show, 11 acts performed for America’s vote and only two of them will advance to “The Finals” when the results are delivered by Terry Crews on Wednesday night. Before that happens, we can reveal that YOUR favorite act of the night was group dance act Murmuration

Murmuration had the all-important spot of closing out Tuesday’s performance show as the final act to make their case for a spot in the finale. Following their first round audition, Howie Mandel selected them as his personal Golden Buzzer act and was enthusiastic about their follow-up performance. Simon Cowell added that they are “in a different league” compared to all the other acts that performed Tuesday night. Less appreciated in our poll was the other Golden Buzzer act that performed, Terry’s selection Chioma & The Atlanta Drum Academy. They opened the show with an bar-setting performance that Simon declared was worthy of being in a Super Bowl Halftime show, but unfortunately they did not fare so well here.

At the time of this writing on Wednesday afternoon, Murmuration had 30% of your votes, followed closely by Sharpe Family Singers with 25% and comedian Ahren Belisle with 22%. Chioma & The Atlanta Drum Academy only pulled in 3% of the vote. Placing above them were the rock metal band Steel Panther with 7%, acrobatic trio Three G with 5% and solo singer Alfie Andrew with 4%.

Sharpe Family Singers were actually one of two acts that were buzzed with the red X by a judge during their performances. Howie thought they sounded like they belonged on a cruise ship, not headlining in Vegas, and the rest of the panel mostly agreed that they stepped too far out of their lane with song choice. Later in the show, Simon gave the red X to hip hop dancer Erica Coffelt because he believed that she, too, was not well-suited to take her act to Vegas. Voters in the poll unanimously agreed, giving her so few votes that it registered at 0% compared to the other choices.

In “Qualifiers 1” on August 22, Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer singer Lavender Darcangelo and dog act Adrian Stoica & Hurricane were the two acts that America sent through to “The Finals.” In our overnight poll that week, they were also the two favorite acts as voted by you.

“America’s Got Talent” will continue to air throughout the summer on NBC with Terry serving as host. The live shows began on August 22 and the finale of Season 18 will likely air in September, when the next winner will be crowned.
