‘America’s Got Talent’: Chibi Unity and Roland Abante are YOUR favorite acts from ‘AGT’ Qualifiers 4 [POLL RESULTS]

America’s Got Talent” continued the live shows of its 18th season on September 12 with the fourth round of performances in the “Qualifiers.” On Tuesday night’s show, 11 acts performed for America’s vote and only two of them will advance to “The Finals” when the results are delivered by Terry Crews on Wednesday night. Before that happens, we can reveal that YOUR two favorite acts of the night were Japanese dance troupe Chibi Unity and Filipino singer Roland Abante, as voted on by viewers in Gold Derby’s overnight poll.

Chibi Unity was one of the last acts to audition for the judges in the first round and by the time of their performance all of the Golden Buzzers had been doled out. The judges put their heads together though and awarded them a rare Group Golden Buzzer because they loved the act so much. In their second performance on Tuesday night, the judges agreed that they had once again hit it out of the park. Inspired to audition by former champion Mayyas, Chibi Unity uses synchronized dance to tell elaborate stories with modern music.

Roland was one of three solo vocalists to sing for the judges on Tuesday night and easily stood out as the judges’ favorite of the bunch. Heidi Klum especially loved the “grit and texture” in his voice that brought a new sound to the classic big ballad “I Will Always Love You.” She told Roland that if there was a Golden Buzzer available in this round of the competition that she’d hit it just to ensure his spot in the finale.

At the time of this writing on Wednesday afternoon, Chibi Unity and Roland are neck and neck battling for the top spot in the online voting with about 25% each. The next closest contender for the spot as top fave is magician Anna Deguzman with 19% of the vote. Anna nervously made her way through a rocky card magic routine with the four judges on stage with her, but managed to win them over with her determination and personality.

Not faring well among Gold Derby users are comedian Orlando Leyba, variety comedy act Puppet Simon & The Cowbelles, country singer/songwriter Kylie Frey, and dancer/contortionist Mariandrea. In that group, Orlando received the most positive critiques from the judges following his comedy set that incorporated a number of punchlines centered around his relationship to his wife. The judges were fiercely harsh on Kylie, like when Simon Cowell referred to her performance as a “manic mess.”

In “Qualifiers 1” on August 22, Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer singer Lavender Darcangelo and dog act Adrian Stoica & Hurricane were the two acts that America sent through to “The Finals.” In our overnight poll that week, they were also the two favorite acts as voted by you.

The following week, the two acts to advance in “Qualifiers 2” were Howie Mandel‘s Golden Buzzer dance group Murmuration and stand-up comedian Ahren Belisle. However, our poll results ultimately favorited chorale group Sharpe Family Singers (who received a red buzzer) in addition to Ahren Belisle.

The two acts that were voted through by America after “Qualifiers 3” were Simon’s Golden Buzzer singer Putri Ariani and the Audience Golden Buzzer act Mzansi Youth Choir. Putri was also the fan favorite vote in our poll that week.
