Amber Portwood Allowed to See Her Son After Court Drops No-Contact Order

Amber Portwood scored a victory in her criminal case as the court lifted a no-contact order with her son and granted the reality star supervised visitation.

According to Indiana court records, the "Teen Mom OG" star appeared in court Thursday and was granted the ability to see her son.

The court terminated a no-contact order that was put in place for 1-year-old James Glennon's protection following her July 5 arrest for domestic violence.

Portwood is still barred from seeing her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, after she allegedly went afer the 35-year-old man with a machete during an argument.

The court noted that any contact Portwood has with her son must be during supervised visitations.

Officials in Indiana have charged Portwood with one count of domestic battery, a felony count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and a felony count of domestic battery.

Since her arrest, Portwood has been criticized by some of her former "Teen Mom" co-stars, like Jenelle Evans.

However, other stars on the MTV reality show are showing support, like her BFF Catelynn Baltierra, who announced on Wednesday that she was leaving Michigan and heading to Indiana for support.

"There is always two sides to every story... u r only hearing one side," Baltierra wrote on Twitter.

She followed up with, "I love you [Amber] I'm on my way to you now."

More From The Blast

Baltierra claimed that Portwood supported her when she went through her own battle with mental health, and wrote, "I DO NOT condone abuse! I AM supporting a friend In need!" the reality star explained.

She added, "when I went through all my crazy mental illness stuff my friend helped, me supported me, and loved me!!! And I’m going to do the same!"

Portwood recently hinted that her boyfriend had cheated in a cryptic Instagram post, but has not commented since getting the opportunity to reconnect with her son.

She's due back in court August 22.
