Amber Heard Claims Domestic Violence, Granted Temporary Restraining Order Against Johnny Depp

Updated at 11:47 a.m. PT: The judge just granted a temporary restraining order, requiring Johnny to stay 100 yards away from Amber, at least until a hearing next month. That’s not a real problem since Johnny is in Europe promoting his movie.

The judge also gave her the right to live in the family home. The judge rejected many other requests by Amber … notably, the judge said no to an order keeping Johnny away from at least one of their dogs, saying there was “an insufficient showing to protect the pet dog.” It’s unclear why the judge didn’t reference the second dog.

And Amber also got shut down when it came to awarding spousal support and attorney’s fees. The judge also rejected her request for possession of their Range Rover and another request to force Johnny into anger management.

On Thursday, Johnny issued a statement regarding the divorce: “Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”

He’s probably also hoping he won’t have to give up his fortune, which has been reported at as much as $400 million. Though Johnny and Amber were only married for 15 months, they have no prenup.

“The court will look at what her needs are, and how much money she actually will need for no more than the length of the marriage, to support herself and get her back on her feet alone,” divorce lawyer Vikki Ziegler told Yahoo Celebrity. “If there are any joint assets together that Johnny Depp put her name on, she will get half. She will keep any gifts that she received from him, as well as the wedding and engagement rings.”
