Sydney Sweeney’s Barbarella movie might have found its writers. Chris Pratt has very high hopes of an MCU return—and a DC debut. Planet of the Apes’ producer wants at least five more movies of simian shenanigans. Plus, get a creepy look at David Cronenberg’s latest film. Spoilers, away!

Barbarella

Deadline also reports Sydney Sweeney is in talks to star in a remake of Barbarella from director Edgar Wright. Jane Goldman and Honey Ross are currently “in negotiations” to write the script.

Guardians of the Galaxy/DCU

During a recent interview with Comic Book, Chris Pratt stated there’s a “100%” chance he’ll return to the MCU as Star-Lord as well as play a new character in James Gunn’s burgeoning DCU.

Well, it probably make more sense that I would be Star Lord again. But anything is possible, and especially with James over at DC. Maybe there’s something that would be right over there. Maybe both. How about both? Let’s do both. I think it’s 100% both.

Planet of the Apes

In another recent interview with THR, producer Rick Jaffa revealed there are tentative plans for five more Planet of the Apes movies set in the current reboot franchise.

I saw nine. I don’t know if we’ll make it to nine. I would love it. We’ve spoken to not just [Kingdom director] Wes [Ball] and [writer] Josh [Friedman] and [producer] Joe Hartwick Jr., but to Steve Asbell and Scott Aversano at 20th about what these next movies can be.

Nightbitch

Bloody-Disgusting has a poster for Nightbitch, the upcoming weredog movie starring Amy Adams.

The Demon Disorder

A group of estranged siblings discover their late father has possessed their youngest brother in the trailer for The Demon Disorder.

The Shrouds

We also have a quick teaser for David Cronenberg’s latest film, The Shrouds.

The Boys

Amazon has confirmed that The Boys will return for a fifth season, ahead of the premiere of season 4.

Doctor Who
