Amazon Just Revealed Its Picks for the Best Books of 2019 — and They’re All on Sale
No matter what you have planned for the upcoming holiday season — trips to see family, romantic winter getaways, or cozy nights at home — you’ll want to have a great read on hand, and Amazon’s recently-revealed list of the best new books is the perfect place to find one.
The retailer’s annual Best Books of the Year list for 2019 is officially here and it’s full of diverse finds that are currently on sale, with markdowns up to 45 percent off. Amazon’s team of book editors gave the top spot to Margaret Atwood’s The Testaments — the sequel to her best-selling novel-turned-TV show The Handmaid’s Tale — while fun fiction reads, memoirs, and thrillers rounded out the rest of the list.

Each month, the editors at Amazon compile their favorite new books — and to create this list, they narrowed it down even more to the absolute best. You’ll likely recognize City of Girls and The Silent Patient, which both earned a spot on Amazon’s list of the best books of 2019 so far back in June.
Amazon’s book department also created a list of their top 20 picks by category, which includes memoirs, business, children’s books, cookbooks, and more, as well as a list of their 100 favorite books from 2019.
