Amazing Christmas Lights Display Contains Real Reindeer and Fireworks

Chad and Angela Koosman showed off their impressive display of Christmas spirit on the final episode of The Great Christmas Light Fight Monday. Their seven-acre property shone with close to a half million lights, and while that’s a feat in and of itself, it barely scratched the surface of their show. Host Carter Oosterhouse kicked things off by pushing a giant light switch to On, and suddenly fireworks discharged set to music that Angela Koosman called “better than Disney!”

The Koosmans took Oosterhouse on a tour through their lit-up wonderland on a sleigh pulled by actual reindeer through their 100-foot-long tunnel of love, lit with 10,000 lights. The tunnel is aptly named, as the Koosmans revealed, “We met out here, and we’ve had several engagements and got engaged here ourselves.” At the end of the tunnel sits a tiny church that Chad built especially for the display. He placed a familiar Salvation Army kettle and bell just outside the church, and they’ve since raised over $385,000 for the charity. The Koosmans did not win the $50,000 prize, but they seemed to be into it just the same.
