Amanda Seyfried Poses with Her “Mean Girls” Counterpart Avantika in Fun Photos: 'Karen Meet Karen'

Amanda Seyfried and Mean Girls’ new Karen are twinning!

Original star Seyfried and Avantika, who plays the beloved character in the new musical reimagining, shared an Instagram snap together on Thursday, both mimicking Karen's daffy nature.

“Karen meet Karen 🎬🎀,” Seyfried, 38, wrote in her caption, while Avantika’s caption read, “mother is a karen. @mingey and happy belated birthday reneé!”

While Seyfried played the role of Karen in the first 2004 film alongside Lindsay Lohan, 38, and Rachel McAdams, 45, and Lacey Chabert, 41, Avantika is filling the shoes of the character in the new 2024 version of Mean Girl, which is in theaters now.

Seyfried’s new snap with her fellow Karen comes after she gushed about the recent reunion with her 2004 Mean Girls costars (Lohan, Chabert, Daniel Franzese and Rajiv Surendra), who all came together for a Walmart campaign in November.

Speaking during Variety and Entertainment Tonight’s 2024 Golden Globes digital pre-show, the actress said the commercial was a “dream reunion.”

“It was like a pinch me thing,” she added. “We had … it was two days of just a lot of catch-up. It was really nice.”

The Mamma Mia! star also said that she would love for her her costars to reunite again.

“It’s not up to me sadly, but if it were, yeah, I think we would all really enjoy some more time together,” Seyfried explained. .
