Amanda Seyfried Compares Her Childhood Photos to a Young Jodie Foster and Elisabeth Moss

Seyfried bears an uncanny resemblance to both Foster and Moss in two throwback snaps on her Instagram Story

As a child, Amanda Seyfried may have been unknowingly channeling two other huge acting talents!

The Mank star, 38, likened her younger self to Jodie Foster and Elisabeth Moss in a post on social media Tuesday, sharing two images of herself as a child.

In the top photo, Seyfried bears an uncanny resemblance to a young Foster, 61, while there's no denying how similar her expression in the bottom snap looks to Moss, 41.

"Was I Jodie Foster? Or Elizabeth [sic] Moss?" she wrote on her Instagram Story post.

Like Moss and Foster, Seyfried has made a name for herself in both film and television over the years, and began her career at a young age.

The Oscar nominee has worked with acting legends such as Meryl Streep in the Mamma Mia! films — and the two even had a recent reunion, at the 2024 Golden Globes.

Seyfried squealed at the reunion, which was caught on camera, as Streep, 74, gave her onscreen daughter a quick kiss on the head before jetting off.

Despite her excitement at being reunited with Streep, Seyfried quickly regained her composure and got back to taking snaps ahead of the awards show at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Seyfried was recently part of another long-awaited reunion, as she got together with her Mean Girls costars Lachey Chabert, Lindsay Lohan, Daniel Franzese and Rajiv Surendra for a Walmart commercial this past fall.

And the Emmy winner would love to get the gang back together again, as she said Sunday during an interview for Variety and Entertainment Tonight’s Golden Globes digital preshow.

“It’s not up to me sadly, but if it were, yeah, I think we would all really enjoy some more time together,” said Seyfried, who served as one of the night’s presenters.

She went on to note that working on the commercial with her costars was a “dream reunion.”

“It was like a pinch-me thing,” the mom of two said. “It was two days of just a lot of catch-up. It was really nice.”
