Amanda Peet’s Stunt Accident on ‘Brockmire’ Shut Down Production
On Thursday’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Amanda Peet revealed that she had an accident on the set of her new IFC show Brockmire. The scene featured Peet’s character catching a beer can in mid-air and shotgunning it in one quick motion.
Peet explained, “I was really cocky. It was like a Tom Cruise thing. I wanted do my own thing with a full beer can.”
She insisted on doing the gag in one shot with a real can of beer. Things went wrong and Peet took a beer can to the forehead. After a month of recuperation, she returned to film the scene but with a foam can, for safety.
