Alyssa Milano vents frustrations and blames leaders for inconsistent COVID-19 testing
On Thursday, Actress and political activist Alyssa Milano appeared on Cuomo Prime Time, just one day after revealing on Instagram that she tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies. Milano had symptoms of the disease in April, but tested negative multiple times. Milano vented her frustration over the inconsistency of tests, and the lack of federal guidelines and help with testing. She said, I vacillate between anger, anxiety, and just complete sadness.” Milano also pointed out that since she is a celebrity, she has access to tests and medical treatments that most other citizens do not. She said, “To me this is such an incredible, incredible failure of leadership and how our government should be our communal care takers.”

I feel like there's an elephant sitting on my chest. I feel like my airways are closing in my throat. I just was so achy.
- Alyssa vented her frustrations over the lack of consistency and availability for testing, particularly for people who haven't lived as charmed a life as she has.
ALYSSA MILANO: And I'm thinking, the people that don't have insurance, how are they going through this? The people that can't find tests, how are they going through this? The people in detention, the people who are incarcerated that have no masks or hand sanitizer, how are they going through this?
- And with no federal plan in place for testing, Alyssa holds the nation's leaders accountable.
ALYSSA MILANO: To me, this is such an incredible, incredible failure of leadership and how, you know, our government should be our communal caretakers.
