The Latest 'Toy Story'

Toy Story 4 has been one of the biggest films of 2019, reuniting adoring viewers with Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang after nearly a decade. An Alternate Ending

[Spoilers for Toy Story 4 ahead]

At the end of the film, Woody and Bo Peep end up striking off on their own to see the world, leaving behind Buzz and the rest of Bonnie's toys to be traveling rogues after realizing that they don't need the love of a child to be happy.

However, an alternate ending/deleted scene hit the Internet ahead of the digital (10/1) and blu-ray (10/8) releases showing that things could have ended very differently for Wood and Bo.

This Would Have Massively Changed Things

In the unfinished scene, Bo ends up feeling a connection with a little girl at the carnival, deciding that she wasn't ready to give up on children after all. It's unknown what would have happened to Woody with this ending, but it is a much more melancholy ending that the one chosen.

Director Josh Cooley explained:

"In this ending, Bo saw this child that she connected with and she realized: 'oh, I actually would like to be with a kid again.' Woody realized in that moment that 'I'm going to have to let Bo go,' so it's much more bittersweet in terms of their relationship."
