Almost 170 strikes on Sumy Oblast as Russians bombard it throughout the day

Russian forces attacked seven hromadas [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories] in Sumy Oblast in the course of 20 September. Almost 170 strikes from mortars, tubed artillery, grenade launchers, multiple-launch rocket systems were detected, as well as 5 bursts of machine gun fire.

Quote: "A medical establishment, power lines and civilian homes have been damaged in the attacks. Some poultry and a goat have been killed. Fortunately, preliminary reports indicate no casualties."

Details: Shelling of Shalyhyne hromada started at 10:00 with a total of 22 strikes, although 4 of the shells did not detonate. Later, at 13:00, the Russians attacked the hromada delivering 4 grenade launcher strikes. After 15:00, they used  machine guns to deliver 5 bursts of machine gun fire.

At approximately 12:30, Russian forces shelled Velyka Pysarivka hromada 15 times using multiple-launch rocket systems.

As a result, three  private homes were damaged in the village of Velyka Pysarivka. One non-residential building was also damaged in the multiple-launch rocket system attack at 13:00.

In Yunakivka hromada, the village of Yunakivka was shelled starting from 12:35 and resulting in 16 strikes. The strikes damaged a high voltage transit power line and shattered windows in a local clinic. Shells struck roads and gardens. Windows were also shattered in two civilian homes.

"Shell fragments killed a goat that was grazing in front of one of the houses," Zhyvytskyi pointed out.

The Russians used mortars to attack Krasnopillia hromada close to noon, initially delivering 3 strikes, and later another 15.

Russian forces delivered 15 strikes at Bilopillia hromada using artillery and mortars deployed from the territory of Russia, starting from 13:00. After 17:00, the outskirts of the village of Oboda were attacked with 20 mortar strikes that damaged 5 residential buildings.

Mortar attacks on this hromada went on after 18:00 resulting in 10 more strikes.

By 18:00, Esman hromada was struck 39 times using mortars.

Nova Sloboda hromada,was shelled five times starting from 17:50.

"A residential building,a brick shed and a chicken coop have been damaged in the village of Boyaro-Lezhachi, and 10 hens have been killed," Zhyvytskyi reported.
