It’s a talented group of cast members over on Vanderpump Rules. Ariana Madix showed off her singing, dancing, and acting skills this past year after her heartbreak at the hands of Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss awarded her a series of employment opportunities.

Scheana Shay has exposed viewers to her vocal skills since recording her single What I Like in Season 1. But now, a decade later, the Good As Gold singer is stepping aside for another aspiring pop star on the Vanderpump Rules cast.

James Kennedy’s girlfriend, and cast newbie, Ally Lewber, isn’t just an astrology maven, she’s also a talented singer. And her latest offering to the world is a pop track called Girl’s Girl.

The Barbie movie inspired Ally

“So I wrote it after seeing the Barbie movie,” Ally exclusively told The Daily Dish. “Around that time, it really was inspired by my friendships, all my girlfriends that I’m really obsessed with and lucky to have in LA. So then I wrote it acoustically just on the guitar. And then James added the production behind it. And we have a friend who is pretty big in the music industry, so he took us into our studio and we recorded and it was just a lot of fun.”

The music video had a Barbie theme to it and features the VPR star’s girlfriends. Scheana got her sister to film as well and the duo filmed atop a white convertible. James directed the shoot. Most impressively, Ally plays the guitar. She told The Daily Dish filming the video was “the best day of my life.”

“Everyone in the video is my close friends and it was just so much fun to make a music video with your best friends,” the astrologer continued. “And then James is an amazing director because he just like has a vision and then he’d get sh-t done.”

Ally discusses her future projects

Prior to this project, Ally released an education track for kids called I Believe In You, which James helped her with.

“I do wanna make more music in the future,” she added. “This just really was an organic thing that kind of came about and it’s just to support women and be obsessed with your girlfriends and a love letter to my girlfriends.”

Art and inspiration cannot be rushed. Fans may have a wait before hearing more of Ally’s work.

Catch Vanderpump Rules Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
