In a recent Tennessean feature, Betts, 45 -- who played with his father in Dickey Betts & the Great Southern -- stated that he "[loved] playing the Allman Brothers catalog," and he was "proud that I'm part of it in a small way."

Betts has also just released his debut solo album"Wild & Precious Life."

Nearly a decade has elapsed since Devon Allman hosted a show at San Francisco's Fillmore Auditorium to celebrate his late father's life. That evening's performance of the Devon Allman Project featuring Duane Betts (along with many guest artists) spawned a touring festival event visiting 18-20 cities yearly.

Duane Betts is releasing his first solo album, "Wild & Precious Life," on July 14, 2023. He stopped by The Gibson Garage in nashville, Tenn., Monday, June 26, 2023 to talk about it.

Players joining Allman and Betts on tour playing "hits and deep cuts" of the Allman Brothers' catalog include the North Mississippi All-Stars' Anders Osborne, Luther Dickinson and Cody Dickenson, Jimmy Hall (Jeff Beck, Wet Willie), Jackie Greene, Larry McCray, Alex Orbison, Ally Venable and The Allman Betts Band featuring bass guitarist Tal Wilkenfeld (Jeff Beck).

Sierra Hull and G. Love are also scheduled for guest appearances on various tour stops.

Legendary psychedelic art light show providers The Brotherhood of Light will also continue their five-plus decade worldwide history as live, multimedia projection artists during the concerts. Acts including the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Led Zeppelin and The Who have benefitted from their liquid-oil psychedelic show which now features LED video wall technology.
