Rounding out the ensemble are Nora Dale (Severance), Karina Lombard (Legends of the Fall), Eugene Brave Rock (Wonder Woman), Billy Zane (Titanic), Philip Niu (Black Adam), Aron Stevens (Heels), and Wase Chief (Horizon: An American Saga). Producers on the pic, scored by two-time Emmy winner Trevor Morris (Vikings), were Isen Robbins, Aimee Schoof, Randolf Turrow, and Darin Scott.

“Anyone who works on a film for 13 years is either crazy or inspired,” said Darin Scott in a statement on the acquisition. “Viewers will instantly recognize that THE OATH is not just a movie, it’s a passionate story with the power to change people. It breaks down emotional barriers, disarming audiences because it doesn’t feel like an indie—it feels like a refined studio epic.”

Continued the actor-filmmaker, “We’re thrilled to partner with Freestyle Releasing for our December 8th release. THE OATH is perfectly-suited for the holiday season—a feel-good movie people will want to see again and again.”
