Alix Earle is open about everything from her struggles with acne to her panic attacks — and her bustling family is no exception.

The TikTok star often shares glimpses of how her parents — dad Thomas Earle, mom Alisa Earle and stepmom Ashley Dupré — work together to raise her and her younger siblings.

Thomas and Alisa welcomed Alix and her younger sister Ashtin before splitting when Alix was in second grade. In 2008, Thomas was revealed to be having an affair with Dupré, who famously also had a sex scandal with the former governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer.

Alix shared that while her father’s affair was difficult for her when she was a child, her family has since moved on and remained close. Thomas and Dupré got married in 2013 and have welcomed three children together.

“We definitely have a very modern family,” Alix told ELLE in August 2023. “It’s normal for me to have my dad, my mom, and my stepmom all going on the same trips.”

She noted that she and Dupré are “super close, and we’ve gotten to such a good point."

"Whatever’s happened in the past, we’ve all gotten past it as a family," the social media star added.

From starring in TikToks together to their family history, here’s everything to know about Alix Earle’s parents.

After receiving his degree in business administration from Lynn University, Thomas took over the Earle family business in construction. According to his LinkedIn, he is “primarily responsible for the executive management of the asphalt and aggregates, environmental, and trucking business units.”

Thomas’ company is based in Farmingdale, New Jersey, and Alix has frequently discussed growing up in the state. She’s posted TikToks attending local spots like Rook Coffee and D’Jais Oceanview Bar & Café.

Alisa is a stay-at-home mom who works with multiple charities

Alisa also received her bachelor’s degree from Lynn University where she studied marketing, per her LinkedIn. She has since focused on being a stay-at-home mom and raising her two daughters.

She is also passionate about working with multiple philanthropies, including the C.H.A.S.E for Life Foundation, which focuses on educating people about life-saving procedures in emergency situations, such as choking or drowning. According to her LinkedIn,  she “is particularly dedicated to the issues of children’s safety and is deeply committed to advancing the C.H.A.S.E. cause.”

Alisa also recently joined TikTok, where she already has over 40,000 followers.

In March 2008, Dupré was at the center of a scandal when then-New York governor Eliot Spitzer was investigated by the FBI after he was caught spending money on an escort service. Dupré, who was 23 at the time, turned out to be the escort hired through the service and became the subject of national scrutiny.

The scandal led to Spitzer’s resignation and his wife divorcing him a year later. Dupré later was involved in an affair with Alix’s father the same year, drawing public attention to Alix’s family.

When Alix was in elementary school, she came home to find paparazzi at her house after news broke that Dupré and Thomas were having an affair, as she recalled on a September 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. The influencer described how her mother quickly ushered her and Ashtin out of the house, and they stayed at their cousin’s home for the next few days.

A year later, her parents told her that they were separating. However, in fourth grade, Alix saw on her iPad that the media were talking about her family — leading her to realize she had been living a “lie.”

“The past two years of my life had been a lie,” she said. “I had been reading articles about what had happened, about the times my dad has taken me to go get ice cream and it’s really because there’s paparazzi outside my house and he’s hiding us from them. I felt like my world crashed down in that moment.”

She added that her mom was “super mature” about it, so they hadn’t spoken about the situation. However, the affair made school difficult for her as she entered middle school and her peers started bullying her — and some parents would even ban their children from spending time with Alix at her house, she said.

Despite the struggles the family faced when Alix was a child, they are now close and often go out to dinner and celebrate holidays together. During her interview on Call Her Daddy, Alix shared how after her parents’ divorce, she felt like she didn’t have a “core” family, so she’s grateful for their closeness now.

“Now that my family is so well blended and they get along so well I get to do all these events in my life where it’s my mom, my dad, my little siblings and my stepmom,” she explained. “It’s a new feeling because it’s a different type of family to me but having my mom around with my dad, it’s just that feeling is the best feeling in the entire world.”

In September 2023, Alix shared a TikTok of her whole family getting together for a night out in New York City, where she posed with all three parents and her three youngest siblings. In the video, Alix shared behind-the-scenes footage of her mom pretending to take a shot and the whole family dancing together.

“Never a dull moment #earlegirls,” she captioned the video.

In addition to Alix and Ashtin, Thomas has three children with Dupré: Izabel Earle, Penelope Earle and Thomas James Earle II.

Alix is close with her younger siblings, and they often make cameos in her TikToks. She also regularly shares content from their family time together, which includes group vacations and outings to fairs.

However, Alix is still wary of sharing too much about her family online. “I mean, I share a lot,” she told ELLE. “Obviously, conversations with my friends and in relationships, and with my family, all of that’s private.”

Dupré has helped Alix deal with public criticism

Alix has previously discussed how Dupré has helped her work through her feelings when she gets overwhelmed by life in the public eye.

“One time I was overwhelmed about something of mine and I called my dad,” she told ELLE. “He was like, ‘You should really talk to Ashley about this. She has dealt with this before, stuff in the media.’ It’s brought us closer because she’s able to guide me through it.”

As for the advice she received from Dupré? “Life goes on. Not everything is as crazy as it feels in the moment. People get past things.”
