Alison Roman has tied the knot!

On Saturday, Sept. 9, the Home Movies host got married to director Max Cantor in a ceremony and reception at one of New York’s iconic steakhouses.

The Brooklyn-based chef shared a cheeky post to Instagram to announce the two’s wedding, hours before the start of the ceremony.

“To anyone thinking of sliding into the DMs, do it! You could end up getting married,” Roman advised in the caption before revealing, “not to me, I’m now married.”

The photo shows a polaroid of the happy couple with the numbers “9.9.23” written across the top and “save the date!” emblazoned on the bottom.

Roman revealed on her Instagram Story that she “didn’t take a single photo” from her nuptials, but shared a “chaotic unedited recap” of her friends and family’s posts from the intimate ceremony.

Many of the guests shared their love for the couple, with some writing that they cried multiple times throughout the evening, including Roman herself.

The cookbook author wore a simple white form-fitting mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline and spaghetti straps, while her now-husband donned a classic black tuxedo.

Roman hosted her wedding at Keens Steakhouse, a restaurant that she told Postcard is “my favorite restaurant in New York, full stop. Vibes for days.” The restaurant’s iconic collection of churchwarden pipes line the ceilings of the photos from Roman’s ceremony.

In lieu of cake photos, another set of Stories the former New York Times columnist reposted showed the newlyweds sharing large spoonfuls of tiramisu from giant bowls.

At what seemed to be the end of the night, Roman and her party loaded onto a double-decker bus. Actress Sarah Steele, a guest at the wedding, shared a photo of Roman chugging from a small paper coffee cup.

“Mid-wedding coffee v important,” the The Good Fight actress wrote, captioning the silly snap from the top layer of the open-air bus.

PEOPLE confirmed Roman’s engagement in July after Roman showed off her ring in an Instagram photo with Cantor in Maine. The round diamond features a gold band and bezel setting.

In true Roman fashion, the ring photo was buried among plenty of delicious food photos from her trip, where she handpicked fresh berries.

Roman and Cantor have both had their work published in The New York Times. Roman was a biweekly food columnist, while Cantor created the newspaper's travel series 36 Hours, according to his website. He now owns his own production company, Block Party.

Roman shares her adventures in the kitchen on Instagram and YouTube and writes recipe content for her food-related newsletter, titled "A Newsletter."
