As reported in May, Netflix placed a 10-episode order for the scripted comedy series, which is inspired by the ’80s phenom of the same name (which stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling).

Set in Los Angeles and showcasing “big hair and body slams,” G.L.O.W. is being dubbed a “fictionalized story of an out-of-work actress who finds one last attempt to live her dreams in the form of a weekly series about female wrestlers.” Per our sister site Deadline, Brie will star as said actress, Ruth, who is thrust into the glitter-and-spandex world of women’s wrestling.
