Is There A Scandal?
Justin Timberlake found himself in hot water when photos and video of him getting handsy with his costar Alisha Wainwright while they were taking a break from filming their upcoming film Palmer hit the internet. People immediately began speculating about the state of his marriage to Jessica Biel, and Timberlake's representative immediately released a denial to People.
"It’s a balcony with a group of people and it was definitely nothing happening. He’s down there shooting [his film] Palmer, they’re starring in the movie together and they’re cool and everybody was just hanging out.
The video may look a way, but literally it was nothing. It was some friends, members of the team, crew and people like that. They all know each other and were hanging. Like come on, they’re on an open balcony in New Orleans and he’s famous. It was nothing."
Wainwright's Father Defended Her
Wainwright's rep also denied the claims of infidelity, saying "There is no validity to this speculation. They are currently working on a project together. Members of the cast and crew were all together."
However, despite this rebuttal, Wainwright's father, music producer Jeff Wainwright, decided to weigh in and defend his daughter in an interview with The Daily Mail.
"It’s all just speculation. She is in New Orleans doing some work, that is all. They are working on a movie together.
I have seen it all over the news. I did not make anything of it, really. I am a music producer, so I am used to all the hoopla. This is the business we are in. This is how it goes.
I was not there, so I cannot tell you exactly what happened but I know my daughter and she is a very good kid. I know she is a very well brought up girl, so you know that is not the type of thing that she will be up to. She will be doing the right thing."

She's A Professional
Wainwright continued, focusing on his daughter's professionalism.
"She has studied this profession since she was six or seven years old — that is when she did her first public commercial for Thanksgiving. She was always exposed early on to things like modeling and show business as I am a music producer myself. So she knows how to be a professional."
It's unknown whether or not Wainwright signed off on her father speaking to the press, but he seems bound and determined to set the record straight.
But Would He Even Know?
However, Wainwright seems to admit that he wouldn't know if something was going on, throwing the rest of his words into doubt.
"I cannot be telling you whether or not she is in a relationship or things like that. She is a young lady, 30-years-old, she is living her life and doing what she has gotta do.
She has always been a big traveler and open-minded. She is a free spirit — we all are in this family. Even if there is something (going on) I would not know. When you are in show business, you separate family from the business. When you are at home with your family, you talk about other things. You don’t talk about this crazy stuff."
So, what's the truth? Is Timberlake stepping out on Biel (again)?
