Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz safely make it back to land after kayak adventure
Swizz Beatz does not seem to be a big fan of water sports. While on vacation with his wife, Alicia Keys, this week, the hip-hop icon posted a series of hilarious Instagram videos decrying Keys’s attempt to get him out on the ocean in a kayak for some whale watching.
In the first video, Swizz notes dryly, “We’re out here whale watching, and all this,” implying that this is not an activity he’s really into, to say the least.

Although the ocean appears calm enough, and Keys seems well in control of the paddling duties, Swizz still looks nervous in the second installment posted on Instagram. “We gotta get the hell outta here,” he laments, worrying about falling into the water and becoming “whale food.”

In his next Instagram installment, an exhausted-looking Swizz sounds thrilled that he’s no longer bobbing around on a piece of plastic.
“The plankton didn’t eat him,” jokes Keys, but her husband is not taking this lightly.

His final post shows him sitting on dry land with a cigar and a drink, looking out over the ocean, noting wryly that he will stick to watching whales from this vantage point.

Hopefully, the couple, who have been married since 2010 and have two sons, were able to get a little R&R on their vacation, because they have a busy spring ahead of them. Keys is returning to NBC’s hit reality show The Voice as a coach for Season 14, where she’ll vie with veteran coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Lambert, as well as new coach Kelly Clarkson, for the season title.
