Alicia Keys Playfully Covers Desiigner’s ‘Timmy Turner’

Rapper Desiigner exploded onto the music scene this year with “Panda” and “Timmy Turner,” two songs most folks would probably recognize but would have to confess they don’t really know the words to. Fortunately, Alicia Keys is here to help us all out.

The Grammy winner, 35, sat at the keyboard with a hat on and two long braids to deliver a slowed-down version of “Timmy Turner,” named after the lead character in Nickelodeon’s Fairly Oddparents. She took a little creative license though and substituted “Tina” for “Timmy” in her hauntingly beautiful rendition. In honor of the one-and-only Tina Turner, perhaps?

Desiigner himself also delivered a piano version of the song earlier this summer, with record producer Mike Dean tickling the keys. But that one was still a little too fast for some of us.
