Alexia Nepola Feels ‘Lost’ Amidst Divorce

Alexia Nepola is opening up about her divorce from Todd Nepola. The "The Real Housewives of Miami" star addressed the sudden split on the latest episode of her podcast, "Aye Por Favor," which she hosts with costar Marysol Patton.

Nepola: 'What Happened?'

In a widely circulated clip, Nepola, 51, and Patton sit together in a room while addressing their audience.

“The first week, for the first two weeks, actually still today, it’s been three weeks, I am still going back in my head like, ‘What happened?’” Nepola tearfully stated on the episode entitled, "Alexia Speaks Out."

“You know, I’m a positive person, so I tried to think about all the beautiful times that we had together, a lot of our beautiful trips. And I’m very positive, so I want to remember that. I don’t want to have any anger, but I understand that anger is also one of the grieving [stages]."

Nepola Said She Is 'Shocked And Heartbroken' After Filing

Nepola's estranged husband filed for divorce on April 11, surprising fans and viewers of the hit reality show. Apparently, Nepola was also surprised by the filing.

She posted on her Instagram stories a few days later to address the split: “I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage. I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during his difficult time. I’m praying for better times ahead.”

Nepola Credits Sons For Strength

Nepola also posted an album of photos of herself and her two sons, Frankie and Peter, to social media last week with the caption, "MY PRIORITY . The reason I smile and the reason I keep going."

Her comments section was flooded with heart emojis from castmembers like Adriana DeMoura, Julia Lemigova, Dr. Nicole Martin, and Kiki Barth. Tamra Judge commented, "The best momma!!! Love you friend," while Guerdy Abraira wrote, "ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY."

Nepola's Drama-Filled Relationship History

Nepola was previously married to Pedro "Peter" Rosello from 1992 to 1996, and the late Herman Echevarria from 2004 to 2016. The marriage to Rosello ended after he served prison time on drug charges. After Echevarria's death, Nepola discovered he'd been leading another life with a man.

Todd Nepola was Alexia's third husband. RHOM viewers watched as Todd and Alexia's marriage was delayed by the Covid pandemic, and then personal tragedy.

"Alexia, 56, and Todd, 51, were married in a lavish ceremony at Eden Rock hotel in St. Barts on Dec. 16, 2021. Their marriage was originally postponed due to the pandemic, which viewers saw play out on season 5 of the hit show. Alexia's mother also passed away from Covid on what was supposed to be her wedding day, but the two were married a few months later."

Nepola Says She Is 'Strong' But 'Human'

Nepola broke down while discussing the split on her podcast, saying that her friends have told her she has the strength to get through this, but that she doesn't feel always feel strong.

"I find myself, like, lost," she said. "Talking about strong… life doesn’t prepare you for emotional strengths. We’re not born with that emotional strength. I have it because of all my life lessons. But it’s like everybody’s like, you got this, you’re so strong."

“I’m strong, but I’m human,” she said through tears.
