Alexia Nepola Blindsided by Todd Filing for Divorce: ‘Really Shocking and I’m Devastated’

Like many Real Housewives of Miami fans, Alexia Nepola is still reeling from the news of her divorce from Todd. Season 6 planted some seeds of doubt and struggle between the couple.
Nevertheless, no one expected that Todd would actually pull the trigger and call off the marriage. In fact, even Alexia was completely blindsided by Todd. On the April 29 episode of her podcast, Alexia shared some of her feelings amid the divorce.

“I’m still taking it all in,” Alexia said, noting the three-week window from the news. She said she was doing her best to “understand” and “process,” reflecting on the seven-year relationship. “You just can’t help yourself but to go back to those seven years and say ‘What went wrong?’” Alexia began crying.
She explained that she was trying to avoid anger, even though she knew it was a necessary grieving stage. After thanking her cohost, Marysol Patton, for being her rock, she also thanked her many supporting fans. She also thanked her children. “The only to heal is … through love. Because I really do believe that love is the healing power.”
As for Todd specifically, she said, “I still love him. We love each other.” She added that her shock was so pronounced because they were working on fixing things. “I’m like, a fighter. I fight.” Marysol responded, “Well, somebody gave up. Someone gave up.” Still, Alexia said, “I was never expecting that. I thought things were good.”
“I’m devastated,” she continued. “I’m pretending … to be okay.” She reported that she was trying to stay busy. “For the first two or three nights, I didn’t sleep,” she added, saying the experience was “like a nightmare.” Alexia also expressed further denial about the situation. “I still think that maybe there’s a chance for us to fix it because we love each other.”
