‘X-Men’s Alexandra Shipp Joins Adam Devine In ‘Lexi’ Comedy From CBS Films

EXCLUSIVE: X-Men actress Alexandra Shipp is set to co-star opposite Adam Devine (Workaholics) in Lexi, a CBS Films comedy about what can happen when you love your phone more than anything else in your life. The Hangover scribes and Bad Moms helmers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are on board to direct the feature, which they also penned.

Shipp, whose credits include Love, Simon, Tragedy Girls, and Straight Outta Compton, will play Cate, the love interest of Devine’s character.

Suzanne Todd (Bad Moms, Alice in Wonderland) is producing the pic, which will begin filming throughout California in January.

Shipp first appeared as Storm in Fox’s X-Men: Apocalypse and will reprise her role in the forthcoming Dark Phoenix. She will also appear in New Line’s Son Of Shaft, with Samuel L. Jackson, Sony’s A Dog’s Way Home, and recently wrapped on the Netflix film All The Bright Places with Elle Fanning.

Shipp is repped by WME, Link Ent., Stone, Genow, Smelkinson, and BWR.
