Alex Wolff is remembering his late friend, Angus Cloud.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE at the 2024 BAFTA Tea Party, the actor, 26, expressed that he shared fond on-set memories with the late Euphoria star, who died last July at age 25.

“The best memories were, he would come to my room,” Wolff said of Cloud, who he starred opposite in the 2023 thriller The Line. “I just had such a fun time with him in the hotel room, my hotel room, where everyone would come. And we would just all get together and talk and laugh so hard.”

The Hereditary actor, who has previously shared behind-the-scenes looks at some of these cast gatherings on Instagram, also shared a specific moment he remembers from his time working with Cloud on the film.

“There was a huge snowstorm and we had to do this last scene in a minute. We had to do it so quick,” Wolff told PEOPLE. “And it's the big pivotal scene in the movie, and we had to rush it. We had to do one take, and he was tremendous.”

“We were so excited that it went well that he went outside in the snow, and he wrote his name, 'Angus,' with his foot in the snow, and it was really, really special,” he added.

The actor also said that Cloud is "one of the most gifted people that's ever lived," noting, "I think about him every day.”

“I think just that he was brilliantly smart [and] emotionally intuitive in a way that was almost freaky. He could feel everything that was going on,” the Oppenheimer star said of Cloud.

"He was so sweet and so filled with love. And no one should [ascribe] any personality to him that they scraped together through interviews or something," he continued. “I knew him, and I was close up with him, and I just loved him. And he was just lovely and warm to everyone."

Added Wolff: "He was just the most amazing person ever."

"It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways,” the star’s family said in a statement following his death, noting that Cloud’s father was buried last week and the actor “intensely struggled with this loss.”

The family’s statement continued, “The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence."

"We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss," the statement concluded.
