Alex Wagner Named Co-Host Of ‘CBS This Morning: Saturday’
Alex Wagner has been named a CBS News correspondent and co-host of CBS This Morning: Saturday, though she also will report for all CBS News broadcasts and platforms.
Wagner joins CBS News from The Atlantic, where she was a senior editor, reporting on politics, culture and social trends, and where she will remain as a contributing editor, writing for the magazine and TheAtlantic.com, and moderating live events.
She most recently was seen on air as guest correspondent on The Circus: The Greatest Political Show on Earth, telecast on CBS division
Showtime. But she’s maybe better known, TV-wise as host of MSNBC’s daily news program NOW with Alex Wagner, and as an analyst and frequent guest on that cable news network she’d joined in 2010.
Earlier, Wagner was a reporter with HuffingtonPost, where she covered innovation and the American economy. She also served as the White House correspondent for AOL’s Politics Daily. Wagner was the executive director of Not on Our Watch, a grant-making and advocacy non-profit, after four years as the editor-in-chief of the Fader magazine, covering music and culture around the world.
“Throughout her career, Alex has demonstrated a gift for communicating challenging topics in ways that readers and television viewers appreciate,” Ryan Kadro, CBS This Morning EP said in today’s announcement.
