Alex Trebek Taunts ‘Jeopardy!’ Nerds Over Complete Lack of Football Knowledge (Video)
“Jeopardy!” contestants Ryan, Sara and Justin are pretty smart — except when it comes to football. That gap in knowledge drove Alex Trebek nuts during a recent taping.
The game show host mercilessly taunted the trio when they failed to even attempt to answer any of the five “Talkin’ Football” questions. Wisely, this gang left that category for last.

“I can tell you guys are big football fans,” he said sarcastically.
“Do you think we should go to commercial?” Trebek asked at one point.
“Let’s look at the $1,000 clue, just for the fun of it,” he teased for the final “answer.”

And, finally: “If you guys ring in and get this one, I will die.”
Ouch.
Looks like Ryan, Sara and Justin are the types who will be watching Sunday’s Super Bowl LII just for the commercials. For Trebek and other actual fans, Eagles-Patriots matchup kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
