2024 is Alex G’s year. On Friday, the musician announced a slate of live shows scheduled for late summer. The North American tour comes after Alex G’s newly-inked recording deal with RCA.

The tour kicks off in June with an appearance at the annual New York music festival Governors Ball but really shifts into motion in August. Alex G will perform a headlining show in San Diego on Aug. 6 and will make stops in Anaheim, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, Eugene, Spokane, Boise, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas throughout the run.

Alex G will also join Foo Fighters on the road for a number of dates on their 2024 Everything or Nothing At All stadium tour, including shows in San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle.

General sale for the headlining appearances will begin on Friday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. local time via the official Alex G website. An artist presale will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. local time.

Alex G’s most recent album, God Save the Animals, arrived in September 2022, further cementing is elusive approach to his musicianship outside of his live shows. “When I was younger, I had Modest Mouse, then Elliott Smith, then Radiohead, one at a time — like, ‘I’m obsessed with you.’ … It feels like they’re your friend. It’s kind of trippy thinking that’s what my music is doing [for other people],” Alex G told Rolling Stone at the time. “As the crowd gets bigger, the percentage of people that’s like, ‘What the fuck is this?’ keeps growing. It’s complicated, I guess. I’m just so grateful.”
