Alessia Cara announces debut album

Fresh off a brief but stellar performance at Tuesday’s TIDAL X: 10/20 concert, Alessia Cara has announced the release of her debut album Know-It-All. Out Nov. 13 on Def Jam, the album’s first five listens are the same tracks that comprised Cara’s August EP Four Pink Walls.

Cara, who got her start in 2013 when she uploaded YouTube videos featuring covers of artists like Lorde and Taylor Swift, broke through earlier this year with her single “Here.” “I wanted to get my voice out there,” Cara told EW this summer. “It’s still hard for me to sing in front of people, but being scared can be amazing.”

“I can’t really explain it, I guess it’s alternative pop,” Cara said when describing her music. “If you hear it, you’ll get what I’m trying to say.”
