As one of the world’s biggest supermodels, Alessandra Ambrosio has become a staple in all the biggest fashion week shows, either on the runway or in the front row. And while her looks always impress, including her latest two-piece set for the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week, another look she wore this week had fans raising their eyebrows.

On Feb. 28, Ambrosio strutted the Parisian streets wearing a soccer jersey from the Brazilian soccer team Grêmio, black mini-shorts, black tights, matching black heels and a long black coat on top. Explaining her look on Instagram, Ambrosio said that the whole idea was in partnership with Brahma, a Brazilian beer brand.

She began the video by explaining that she wanted to honor one of Brazil’s biggest culture staples: “wearing their soccer jerseys in every place.” “As a Brazilian, I take my passion for soccer all over the world,” she continued in Portuguese. “I root for Grêmio since I was very little. My passion for the team came from my family.”

“I remember one of my birthdays when I wore the Grêmio jersey with all of my friends,” the model said. “It was super memorable.”

As she started to put the pieces of her look together, she explained how meaningful it would be for her. “Today will be the day I join two of my passions: soccer and fashion,” she said. And while the combination is definitely unique, she looks beyond fierce in the photos, especially with the Eiffel Tower in the background. After all, it’s hard for something not to look amazing on her.

After her Grêmio-inspired look, the mom of one went on to attend the Balmain fashion show in a feathered white two-piece set comprised of a mini-skirt and half-unbuttoned vest. “Balmain vibes 🤍 @balmain #pfw,” she wrote on Instagram next to pictures from the event. So beautiful, as always!
