‘Alert: Missing Persons Unit’ Renewed for Third Season on Fox
Fox will keep its Missing Persons Unit on the job for another season.
The network has renewed the drama series Alert: Missing Persons Unit for a third season in 2024-25. The series will remain in production after season two wraps, which will bank episodes leading into next season and potentially serve as a hedge against a possible IATSE strike in the summer.

Alert is one of just two dramas Fox has aired in 2023-24 as the network relied heavily on its unscripted and animated rosters, which weren’t affected by last year’s dual strikes. Fox has yet to make a call on the other drama, The Cleaning Lady.
Alert stars Scott Caan and Dania Ramirez as Philadelphia detectives who head the city’s missing persons unit and work to find missing or abducted people and reunite them with loved ones. Adeola Role, Ryan Broussard and Alisha-Marie Ahamed also star; Gil Bellows recurs as the unit’s new boss.
The series is averaging 3.9 million viewers across all platforms this season, with most of that audience watching after episode make their on-air debut. The all-in figure is more than three times the show’s same-day, linear audience.
Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment produce Alert: Missing Persons Unit. Showrunner Carla Kettner executive produces with Jon Cowan, Brandon Sonnier, Brandon Margolis, Sean Hennen, John Eisendrath, Jamie Foxx, Datari Turner and Brad Turner.
Alert will join a pair of new dramas, Doc and Rescue: Hi-Surf, on Fox’s 2024-25 schedule; the network also has veteran series 911: Lone Star, which took 2023-24 off, and season two of its courtroom anthology Accused.
