Aldis Hodge joins Kyle Meredith to talk about his new film Marmalade, a Bonnie and Clyde-style crime romance. Listen to the new episode above, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hodge, known for Black Adam, Leverage, Straight Outta Compton, and more, explains how it was enjoyable to tackle something more comedic, as it contrasts the roles he’s used to playing. He also discusses working opposite of co-star Joe Keery: “We just had a good time finding [a] balance while we were working together,” he explains. “It was a lot of fun because he’s taking crazy risks, and so am I.”
Elsewhere, Hodge touches on drawing inspiration from his years in stand-up, the fun of improvising lines in the film, and teases his next project with Hodge Brothers Productions.
