Alan Braufman Announces New Album, Shares New Song “Sunrise”: Listen

Alan Braufman has announced a new album, The Fire Still Burns, which arrives on August 28 (via Valley of Search). It’s the jazz saxophonist’s second album under his own name, following 1975’s Valley of Search, which was reissued in 2018. Below, listen to the new LP’s lead single “Sunrise.”

Braufman recorded The Fire Still Burns at the National’s Long Pond Studio in Upstate New York. In addition to Braufman (who plays alto saxophone and flute), the album features Cooper-Moore (piano), James Brandon Lewis (Tenor sax), Andrew Drury (drums), and Ken Filiano (bass).
