Based on the namesake light novel series written by Tarō Hitsuji and illustrated by Kurone Mishima, Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor is a fantasy TV anime series. The plot revolves around Glenn Radars, an indolent young man who reluctantly agrees to be a substitute teacher of a class in a prestigious magic academy and encounters best friends and students Sistine and Rumia. Glenn and Sistine immediately clash because of their vastly different approach to life and magic, but as the series progresses, they begin to learn more about each other. Season 1 premiered on April 4, 2017. If you are wondering whether there will be a second season, this is what we have discovered.

Here’s all the Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor Season 2 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there an Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor Season 2 release date?

Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor Season 2 does not have an official release date, but it can be announced in the future.

As of January 2024, Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor hasn’t been greenlit for Season 2. Even though it has been over six years since the release of the first season, a second season remains a possibility. The original light novels continued years after the anime concluded and ended only on November 17, 2023, after 24 volumes. So, there is enough material for future chapters of the anime. Moreover, while the recent trends might indicate otherwise, anime TV shows often have years of intermediate periods between seasons.

Because of this, Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor Season 2 can potentially go into development in the future. ComingSoon will provide an update if the second season is ever greenlit.

The voice cast includes Sōma Saitō as Glenn Radars, Akane Fujita as Sistine Fibel, Yume Miyamoto as Rumia Tingel, Eri Kitamura as Celica Arfonia, Hiroki Takahashi as Albert Frazer, Ari Ozawa as Re=L Rayford, Yōko Hikasa as Elenoa Sharlet, Minako Kotobuki as Sara Silvers, and more.

The official synopsis for Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor reads:

“The Alzano Imperial Magic Academy is located in the southern part of the Alzano Empire and is among most prominent magic schools in the world, where students can learn the highest forms of magic. All those who strive to learn magic dream of studying at this academy, and its students as well as its teachers are proud to be a part of its 400-year history. Glenn Radars is a new instructor who has suddenly been appointed to teach part-time at this highly respected academy. The previously unheard-of lessons of this man known as a good-for-nothing bastard are about to begin.”
