Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor Starrer Raid 2 to Complete Shoot Next Week

The much-anticipated sequel Raid 2 is set to wrap up its filming next week. The action-packed thriller has generated considerable buzz since its announcement. The Ajay Devgn-starrer is nearing the end of its final shooting schedule.

In Raid 2, Ajay Devgn returns as the fearless IRS Officer Amay Patnaik, diving into a new mission against corruption. Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh join the cast, with Kapoor as the female lead and Deshmukh portraying the antagonist. The film also features Rajat Kapoor in a crucial role, adding to the strong narrative.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Raid 2 has only a few days of shooting in Delhi, followed by an extensive one in Lucknow. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the filming began on January 6 this year. The shooting process has proceeded smoothly according to plan.

However, there were some logistical challenges in multiple cities, including Mumbai and Rajasthan. A source close to the production shared, “The makers had meticulously planned the shoot. Everything went as per the plan and in less than four months, the shooting will conclude.”

The original film was acclaimed for its intense storytelling and strong performances, particularly by Devgn and Saurabh Shukla. Fans and critics alike are eager to see how the sequel will build on the foundations of its predecessor.

Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar under the T-Series banner and Panorama Studios. It is slated for a theatrical release on November 15, 2024. Before Raid 2 hits the screens, Ajay Devgn will appear in Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha with Tabu, expected in June or July, and the Diwali release Singham Again.

With a string of potential hits lined up and Raid 2 wrapping up, Ajay Devgn’s 2024 looks to be a standout year.
