Fans of Bollywood’s iconic cop universe are eagerly anticipating the release of Singham Again. The much-anticipated third installment in the Singham franchise is directed by Rohit Shetty. The star-studded ensemble, led by Ajay Devgn, definitely promises an action-packed cinematic experience.

With the recently revealed character poster of the OG cop, excitement has reached its peak for viewers. Ajay Devgn will be reprising his role as Bajirao Singham along with other cast members. Rohit Shetty, who initiated his journey into the cop universe with Singham in 2011, has since expanded the cinematic universe. With Singham Returns in 2014 and Simmba in 2018 following the first film. The last film of the cop universe was Sooryavanshi in 2021.

When is Singham 3 coming out?

The film commenced its marathon shooting schedule in November at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. It boasts an ensemble cast that reads like a who’s who of Bollywood. Joining Ajay Devgn’s Singham are Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi. They will be creating an unparalleled trio of cop avatars set to battle against common enemies of the nation.

The film, slated for release in the second half of 2024, will be shot both in India and abroad over the next six months. Director Rohit Shetty, known for his commitment to realism, plans to capture most sequences at real locations under the supervision of action experts. With a commitment to elevating the scale of the cop universe, Singham Again is touted as Rohit Shetty’s most expensive film to date, promising some of the biggest action sequences ever witnessed in an Indian cop film.

With an ensemble cast, the filmmaker has been constantly revealing character posters to keep up the hype. The first poster reveal was of Deepika Padukone as Shakti Shetty. Deepika Padukone steps into the shoes of a formidable police officer. She is expected to be seen as Singham’s sister. Her character teaser hints at the intensity and strength she will bring to the big screen, adding a new dimension to the cop universe.

Tiger Shroff too joined the party closely after the first poster reveal. He sure fits in the shoes of ACP Satya – Special Task Force Officer with his chiseled physique and bold expressions. Similar to Deepika Padukone, this will be Tiger’s first film from the cop universe.

Ranveer Singh returns to Singham Again after a five-year gap, reprising his role as Simmba, last seen in Sooryavanshi (2021) alongside Akshay Kumar. The poster of Simmba showcases Ranveer’s fiery and notorious presence, with a backdrop featuring an image of Lord Hanuman, hinting at the film’s larger-than-life scale.

Akshay Kumar will also be making a cameo reprising his role as Veer Sooryavanshi. Rohit Shetty took to Instagram to reveal his character poster where he is seen bravely jumping out of a helicopter.

Additionally, Kareena Kapoor Khan also makes a triumphant return to the Singham franchise. She will be seen reprising her role as Avni Bajirao Singham. Despite not being a cop, her character plays a crucial part in the film, carrying the story forward alongside Singham and other members of the police force.

Apart from the above-mentioned confirmed cast, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Vicky Kaushal are also speculated to join Singham Again.
