AJ Lee & Blue Summit will bring their bluegrass sound to Langlois on November 19

Nov. 17—The California bay area-based band AJ Lee & Blue Summit return to the Langlois Cheese Factory for an evening concert of bluegrass, Americana, and country blues on Sunday, November 19.

The concert is presented by Small n Dull Productions. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door and are $20 per person, cash only. Children age 17 and under are admitted for free.

AJ Lee & Blue Summit's exceptional sounds have won the band and its members numerous awards for vocals, guitar and mandolin playing, flatpicking, and best bluegrass band honors. Led by singer, songwriter, and mandolinist, AJ Lee, the band is also composed of Sullivan Tuttle and Scott Gates on steel stringed acoustic guitars, Jan Purat on fiddle, and Chad Bowen on upright bass.

The band has performed all over the world, but periodic visits to the southern Oregon coast have won them a loyal, local following as well.

"AJ Lee & Blue Summit are pure, beautiful American music," said Eric Oblander, a musician and producer of Rise Up on the Buckeye Community Arts network. "Soaring harmonies, top notch picking and strumming as well as a healthy respect and reverence for the classic country, bluegrass and folk music of the past all add up to a band who are masters of the genre."

The Langlois Cheese Factory is located just off the west side of Highway 101 at 94179 Allen Boice Drive in Langlois. Historically, the building was used for cheesemaking, but these days it is a venue for concerts, events, and private celebrations. Concert attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drink.
