The return of the character portrayed by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee was a pleasant surprise in the latest Ahsoka installment. Carson teamed up with Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) to go to the rescue of Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) on Seatos. To put it into Carson’s own words, he “wouldn’t miss it.”
Once close to Seatos, the rescue team failed to prevent Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) from jumping into hyperspace to Grand Admiral Thrawn’s location. Part of the team was also involved in some explosions caused by the energy unleashed by the Eye of Sion, but Carson seemed to have survived the incident.
Is Carson Teva from the original Star Wars?
Carson Teva first appeared in The Mandalorian season 2 and is not part of the original Star Wars trilogy.
While he might appear as a character straight out of Star Wars: A New Hope, fans first met Carson only in “Chapter 10: The Passenger” of The Mandalorian series. He is introduced as a captain in the New Republic Starfighter Corps.
His first encounter with Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) was quite bumpy, but then the pair got along, and Carson became involved in various missions and investigations. In addition to The Mandalorian seasons 2 and 3, Carson appeared in The Book of Boba Fett. Throughout his appearances, Teva is shown to be a dedicated and honorable pilot committed to the New Republic’s cause.
Ahsoka is currently streaming on Disney Plus. New episodes premiere on Tuesdays.
